Softball Recap: Georgetown-Ridge Farm Comes Up Short

Georgetown-Ridge Farm was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Armstrong Trojans, falling 14-5. The Buffaloes were not able to make up for their loss to the Trojans from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Annistyn Tovey made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Peyton McComas was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Georgetown-Ridge Farm will head out to challenge Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Armstrong, they will take on Blue Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
