Basketball Recap: Munford Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Munford challenged Arlington on Friday. The Munford Cougars were outmatched by the Arlington Tigers and fell 69-37. The game marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Munford saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Isaiah Britten posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dean Millican, who earned three points and five rebounds.

Munford's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Arlington, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Munford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 60-54 defeat against Ripley on the 17th. As for Arlington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 65-62 loss against Harding Academy on the 17th.
