Volleyball Game Preview: Hemphill Hornets vs. Sabine Pass Sharks

The Hemphill Hornets will face off against the Sabine Pass Sharks at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hemphill will be strutting in after a victory while Sabine Pass will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Hemphill earned a 3-1 win over Colmesneil.

Hemphill had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-10, 25-12, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Sabine Pass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Danbury, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-6, 25-15.

Hemphill is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-15 record this season. As for Sabine Pass, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
