Volleyball Recap: Elk Grove Comes Up Short

Elk Grove lost against Laguna Creek back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Elk Grove Thundering Herd fell 3-1 to the Laguna Creek Cardinals. The Thundering Herd have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elk Grove started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-15, 25-15, 25-17.

Elk Grove's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Laguna Creek, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coming up, Elk Grove will face off against Franklin at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Elk Grove is facing Franklin at the right time seeing as Franklin is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Laguna Creek, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against McClatchy on the 12th.
