Basketball Recap: Terrell Pollard Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Shaw

Bedford won the last time they faced Shaw and things went their way on Friday too. The Bedford Bearcats enjoyed a cozy 58-39 win over the Shaw Cardinals. Given the Bearcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Cardinals are ranked 665th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bedford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Terrell Pollard out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Pollard is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last 14 games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaivon Hudson, who posted 12 points and three steals.

Bedford's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Shaw, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bedford has already played their next contest (against Chaney), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Shaw has also has no score uploaded for their next matchup, this one against Lorain.
