Soccer Game Preview: Founders Classical Academy vs. KIPP Austin Collegiate

The Founders Classical Academy Archers will venture away from home to square off against the KIPP Austin Collegiate Cardinals at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their matches after big wins in their previous games.

Founders Classical Academy took on Idea Pflugerville in their season opener and it was just the start the team was looking for. The Archers' defense stepped up to hand the Wizards a 3-0 shutout last Wednesday. The contest was close at halftime, but Founders Classical Academy turned on the heat in the second half with two goals.

Meanwhile, KIPP Austin Collegiate had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.3 goals) and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Lions with a sharp 4-0 victory. KIPP Austin Collegiate might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by four goals or more this season.

They hit Valor North Austin with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Yanderin Calderon (2), Bella Garcia, and Samantha Vallejo.

Founders Classical Academy might still be hurting after the 4-1 loss they got from KIPP Austin Collegiate in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Archers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
