Baseball Recap: Berkeley Carroll Comes Up Short

Berkeley Carroll lost against Collegiate back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lions took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dutchmen.

Zach Powell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one stolen base.

Berkeley Carroll now has a losing record of 0-1-1. As for Collegiate, the win (which was their sixth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

Berkeley Carroll will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on St. Ann's at 5:00 p.m. on May 5. As for Collegiate, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 15-8 loss against Trinity on the 9th.
