Softball Recap: Wabash Takes a Loss

Wabash extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 0-3 in the process. They came up short against the Fremont Eagles, falling 13-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-4 on Saturday.

Andi Conliff made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for Fremont, they now have a winning record of 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for they.

On Fremont's side, Emma Creager was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Creager was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, Chloe Verdin was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Myleigh Carper was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Wabash didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-4 defeat against Blackford on the 14th. As for Fremont, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-5 victory against Central Noble on the 15th.
