Baseball Recap: Monday's Win Is Fox Creek's 13th in Last 15 Outings

Fox Creek won the last time they faced Swansea and things went their way on Monday too. The Predators put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 13-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Predators, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Cam Porter looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chance Weathersbee was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Jamari Peeples also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Fox Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive games.

Fox Creek is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Swansea, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-4.
