Volleyball Recap: Dimond Lynx vs. Chugiak Mustangs
Dimond had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past the Chugiak Mustangs 3-0 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Lynx, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Dimond walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 25-9.
Sarah Dittman paced Dimond's offense, picking up 11 kills. Dittman got some help from
Grace Petru and her 19 assists.
Eleasha Sapon controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Dimond is on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 28 matches, which somehow still isn't as good as their 47-9-4 record this season. As for Chugiak, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 28-20-2 record this season.
