Basketball Recap: Mark Morris Finds Playoff Glory Versus Franklin Pierce

Mark Morris extended their postseason success on Friday against Franklin Pierce. They had just enough and edged out the Franklin Pierce Cardinals 53-51.

Despite the loss, Franklin Pierce still got an impressive performance from Javon Barbee, who went 12-for-25 en route to 29 points and six rebounds. That was a full 56.9% of Franklin Pierce's points, marking the 14th time in a row Barbee has posted more than a third of the team's points. Hakeen Collins was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.

Mark Morris' win bumped their record up to 22-7. As for Franklin Pierce, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 21-6.

Mark Morris didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-59 loss against Columbia River on the 8th. Franklin Pierce does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
