Basketball Game Preview: Reagan County Owls vs. Christoval Cougars

Reagan County is 0-4 against Christoval since December of 2022 but things could change on Friday. The Reagan County Owls will be playing at home against the Christoval Cougars at 6:15 p.m. Reagan County will be strutting in after a victory while Christoval will be coming in after a loss.

Having struggled with eight defeats in a row, Reagan County turned things around against San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy on Saturday. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 40-29.

Meanwhile, Christoval came up short against Farwell on Saturday, falling 52-29. The Cougars have struggled against the Steers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Reagan County's win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Christoval, their loss dropped their record down to 17-7.

Reagan County took a serious blow against Christoval in their previous meeting back in January, falling 44-10. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Christoval's Halle Hughes, who went 7 for 17 on her way to 20 points and four steals.
