Football Game Preview: Sleepy Hollow Horsemen vs. Woodlands Falcons

The Sleepy Hollow Horsemen will head out to challenge the Woodlands Falcons at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sleepy Hollow has three straight victories, Woodlands has 15 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Sleepy Hollow took their contest with ease, bagging a 42-10 win over Putnam Valley. Given the Horsemen's advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 143rd, while the Tigers are ranked 385th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brayden Richardson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 178 yards and three TDs on only 13 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 116 rushing yards.

Meanwhile, Woodlands lost to Briarcliff/Hamilton at home by a 21-6 margin on Saturday.

Sleepy Hollow's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Woodlands, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.
