Softball Recap: Turkeyfoot Valley Area Comes Up Short

Turkeyfoot Valley Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 20-8 to the Hancock Panthers. The Rams were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Kiley Mitchell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 3-for-4. Those home runs were her first of the season. Maleigha Younkin was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Turkeyfoot Valley Area's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Hancock, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Panthers beat Turkeyfoot Valley Area by a score of 15-0 later that day.
