The La Grange Leopards are on the road again on Friday to play the Taylor Ducks at 7:30 p.m. Taylor took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on La Grange, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, La Grange humbled Smithville with a 52-7 victory. Given the Leopards' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 476th, while the Tigers are ranked 960th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Taylor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 29-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lago Vista.

La Grange's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for Taylor, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Everything came up roses for La Grange against Taylor in their previous meeting back in September of 2020 as the squad secured a 48-20 victory. In that contest, La Grange amassed a halftime lead of 48-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
