Basketball Recap: Woodward Academy Takes a Loss

After flying high against East Union last Friday, Woodward Academy came back down to earth. The Woodward Academy Knights were beaten by the Southeast Warren Warhawks 81-47 on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 287th, while the Warhawks are ranked 112th).

Woodward Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Southeast Warren, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-3.

Woodward Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Southeast Warren, they will head out to square off against Ankeny Christian Academy on Thursday.
