Volleyball Recap: Satellite Starts Season with Victory at Home

Satellite gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They blew past the Brevard HEAT Firehawks 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21, 25-20.

Harper Lanza paced Satellite's offense, picking up nine kills. Lanza really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 15. She also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Mattie Russell, racking up three apiece.

Brevard HEAT's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Satellite has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Merritt Island on the 21st. As for Brevard HEAT, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Altamonte Christian on the 22nd.
