Basketball Recap: Jasper Skates Past Lead Hill with Ease

Jasper won the last time they faced Lead Hill and things went their way on Saturday too. The Jasper Pirates took their game with ease, bagging an 81-24 victory over the Lead Hill Tigers. The Pirates have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Lead Hill saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kennedy Hudson on her way to 14 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Hattie Hughes was another key player, putting up no points along with seven boards and three steals.

Jasper has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 20-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.1 points over those games. Lead Hill dropped their record down to 5-27 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Jasper has already played their next game, a 75-49 win against Omaha on the 24th. Lead Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
