Baseball Recap: Batesville Takes a Loss

Batesville lost against Greene County Tech back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pioneers fell just short of the Golden Eagles by a score of 5-3.

Gabe Bledsoe made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

Batesville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Greene County Tech, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4-1 record this season.

Batesville will be playing in front of their home fans against Brookland at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Greene County Tech has already played their next matchup (against West Memphis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
