Softball Game Preview: Arcadia Titans vs. Saguaro Sabercats

Arcadia has gone 8-2 against Saguaro recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Titans will host the Sabercats at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Arcadia has four straight wins, Saguaro has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Arcadia proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 11) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 victory over Saguaro. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Titans have posted against the Sabercats since April 2, 2019.

Jane Ord and Logan Jenkins did most of the damage at the plate: Ord scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Jenkins scored two runs while going 2-for-5. Ord has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Kelley, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Saguaro's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Arcadia, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7-1.
