With a playoff win on the line, Lifegate Christian rose to the challenge on Friday. They snuck past the Humble Christian Cougars with a 49-43 victory. The win was nothing new for the Falcons as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Humble Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Deriyah Williams, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds. What's more, Williams also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Ivy Miller was another key player, putting up 11 points along with seven boards and four steals.

Lifegate Christian's victory bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Humble Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season.
