Baseball Recap: John Champe Picks Up Ninth Straight Win at Home

John Champe came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 26-0 margin over the Park View Patriots. The Knights' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three contests.

Sam Keethler made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Ben Marshall was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one double. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (three). Josh Wallace was another key player, going 3-for-5 with five runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

John Champe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
