Football Game Preview: Loch Raven Raiders vs. Patapsco Patriots

The Loch Raven Raiders are taking a road trip to face off against the Patapsco Patriots at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with five losses in a row, Loch Raven turned things around against Lansdowne on Thursday. They walked away with a 22-12 victory over the Vikings. The game marked the Raiders' most dominant win of the season.

Cai Perry and Bobby Beasley were among the main playmakers for Loch Raven as the former threw for 158 yards and three touchdowns on only seven passes and the latter gained 143 total yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 60 yards.

Loch Raven didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Isiah Burnes. Another thorn in Lansdowne's side was Eric Reeves, who made 23 total tackles and defended one pass.

Meanwhile, Patapsco beat Chesapeake 16-8 on Saturday. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Bay Hawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Patapsco's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Loch Raven, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Loch Raven came out on top in a nail-biter against Patapsco in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 8-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
