Softball Recap: Stratford Has No Trouble Against Kolbe-Cathedral

Stratford won the last time they faced Kolbe-Cathedral and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 13-1 margin over the Cougars. Considering the Red Devils have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Stratford got a great performance from Morgan Letizia as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Ashlyn Tracy was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Riley Dicks was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple.

Stratford lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The victory got Stratford back to even at 6-6. As for Kolbe-Cathedral, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-6.

Stratford has already played their next contest, a 6-5 loss against New Fairfield on the 12th. As for Kolbe-Cathedral, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 16-0 defeat against Brookfield on the 12th.
