Softball Recap: Marlboro County Bulldogs vs. Waccamaw Warriors

Marlboro County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Waccamaw Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 back in March.

Addison Skipper made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Amir Bridges, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Marlboro County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Waccamaw, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.

Marlboro County and Waccamaw will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Bulldogs see the field they'll take on Dillon at 6:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Waccamaw, their break will end when they face Myrtle Beach at 6:00 p.m. on the 28th.
