Baseball Recap: John Glenn Starts Season with Defeat at Home

John Glenn unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Southampton Mariners by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

John Glenn saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andrew Dunn, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

The victory got Southampton back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, John Glenn will host Pierson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southampton, they will welcome Bayport-Blue Point at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
