Baseball Recap: Apple Valley Sun Devils vs. Claremont Wolfpack
Apple Valley and Claremont squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Apple Valley had to settle for second. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (2-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. If they were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Wolfpack when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Christopher Alvarez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Apple Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aril Jackson, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
