Millbrook is the top team, but also watch out for Myers Park, Northwest Guilford, Providence Day and Andrews in the North Carolina #MaxPrepsFab5.

Myers Park won it all last season in North Carolina.

1. Millbrook (Raleigh)Head coach: Chris East
2014-15 record: 24-2
Millbrook will build on an upset loss in the 4A playoffs, especially since there's plenty of firepower returning. In fact, the top three returning scorers will all be juniors this year, so the best may be yet to come.

2014-15 record: 29-1
Myers Park has ruled North Carolina for the past few years, and though there's still lots of talent on the roster, it's no longer the odds-on favorite to win the 4A title. But sleeping on Myers Park would be a mistake, no doubt.

2014-15 record: 29-1
Coaches love seniors, and Northwest Guilford returns six. The only loss last year came at the hands of Myers Park in the 4A semifinals, and with experience and significant talent, the shoe might be on the other foot this year.

2014-15 record: 27-3
As a private school, Providence Day isn't part of the biggest North Carolina high school association, so the Chargers won't get a postseason shot at the teams above them in these rankings – but that doesn't mean this very young team (only one player graduated from the independent school champion) can't compete with the big girls.

5. AndrewsHead coach: Ken Solesbee
2014-15 record: 8-13
Andrews is a small school with a tall player -- 6-5
Tiffany Holloway -- and with lots of firepower returning, look for the Wildcats to take a great leap forward this year. For that to happen, though,
Morgan Mashburn and
Jacqueline West will both need to step up.
