The Crosstown Explorers pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were outmatched by Memphis Business Academy on the road and fell 87-57. Crosstown has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Larry Benson III went supernova for Memphis Business Academy, going 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 40 points and 8 assists. Another player making a difference was Randy White Jr, who scored ten points along with five assists and three steals.
Crosstown's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-7. As for Memphis Business Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Crosstown will be home for the holidays to greet Memphis Rise Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Memphis Rise Academy is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Memphis Business Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Raleigh-Egypt at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Raleigh-Egypt presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Memphis Business Academy in Tennessee (Raleigh-Egypt is ranked 91st, while Memphis Business Academy is ranked 221st).
