Basketball Recap: Denbigh Picks Up Sixth Straight Win at Home

Denbigh had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Menchville Monarchs as they made off with a 68-42 win. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 50th, while the Monarchs are ranked 301st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Denbigh pushed their record up to 17-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points over those games. As for Menchville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 16 contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Denbigh nor Menchville have any future games scheduled.
