Volleyball Preview: Baldwin-Woodville Blackhawks vs. Somerset Spartans        
        
		
             Baldwin-Woodville is 9-1 against Somerset since September of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success  on Tuesday. The Baldwin-Woodville Blackhawks are on the road again  to play the Somerset Spartans at 7:00  p.m. Both come into the  match bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Last Saturday, Baldwin-Woodville narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past Mercer  2-1.
 Baldwin-Woodville was actually outscored in aggregate across those three sets (62-60), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 27-25,  15-12.
 Baldwin-Woodville's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Emma Freese, who  had eight  digs and three  aces, and   Kaylee Fink, who  had three  digs.
 She wasn't the only good server: Baldwin-Woodville  was lethal from the service line and  finished the game with 11  aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  served at least five  aces in nine consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, Somerset can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Thursday. They blew past Amery 3-0. The  game marked the Spartans' most dominant  victory of the season.
 Somerset walked away with the   win (but they looked especially good in the second set). The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-15,  25-16.
 Baldwin-Woodville has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matchups,  which provided a massive bump to their 17-11 record  this season. As for Somerset, their record is now 5-8.
 Baldwin-Woodville skirted past Somerset  3-2 when the teams last played  back in October of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Baldwin-Woodville since the  squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
