Volleyball Recap: West Limestone Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Saturday. West Limestone took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Payne. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Fort Payne this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Saturday.

Fort Payne was led to victory by Carley Cash and Ally Chadwick. Cash had 15 digs, while Chadwick had 13 assists and two aces.

West Limestone now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Fort Payne, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 20 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 33-9 record this season.

West Limestone will host St. John Paul II at 4:00 p.m. on October 6. As for Fort Payne, they will face off against Douglas at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
