Softball Recap: Girard Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Girard and LaBrae squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Girard had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 8-6. The Indians were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 9-6.

Quinn Wilster was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Gianna Saxon, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Girard's defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-14. As for LaBrae, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That somehow still isn't as good as their 21-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Girard nor LaBrae have any future games scheduled.
