Baseball Recap: Dickson Takes a Loss

Dickson lost against Antlers back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Dickson lost 13-6 to Antlers. The Comets' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Dickson saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dajuan Williams, who scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Those two runs gave Williams a new career-high. Kade Hillis also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Dickson's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Antlers, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Dickson will head out to square off against Plainview at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Plainview has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.4 runs per game on average), something Dickson will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Antlers, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hugo at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Antlers is facing Hugo at the right time seeing as Hugo is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
