Recap: Timpson Bears vs. Garrison Bulldogs
With a playoff game on the line, the Timpson Bears rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 35-23 win over the Bulldogs. Timpson's victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Terry Bussey was his usual excellent self, rushing for 242 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.7 yards per carry, and also throwing for 124 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes.
Despite the loss, Garrison still got an impressive performance from Brayden Davidson, who rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 81 yards and a touchdown.
Timpson has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 14-0 record. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 40.5 points. As for Garrison, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-2.
Timpson will head out on the road to face off against Ganado at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Ganado: 13.2, Timpson: 12.6) so any points scored will be well earned. Garrison does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
