The Foothills Christian Knights will square off against the Francis Parker Lancers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Foothills Christian took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed two weeks ago. They never let Madison get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by eight runs or more this season.
Emma Romeka made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Romeka was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Reese Winchester was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, Francis Parker had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Knights.
Evelyn Luo spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Payton Zborowski, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Amelia Antczak was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.
Foothills Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Francis Parker, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-8.
