Football Recap: Johnson Comes Up Short

Johnson fell victim to North Hall and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Trojans, falling 63-0. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 56-7 to the Trojans when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Alex Schlieman produced another solid effort throwing for 262 yards and three TDs while completing 91.7% of his passes for North Hall. The dominant performance also gave Schlieman a new career-high in passer rating (170.1). Another player making a difference was Cole Cable, who picked up 141 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Johnson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for North Hall, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Johnson will face off against rival White County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, North Hall is set to take on their familiar foe Dawson County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 913 yards in their previous games.
