Soccer Game Preview: High Tech CV vs. San Diego Jewish Academy

The High Tech CV Bruins are taking a road trip to challenge the San Diego Jewish Academy Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. High Tech CV is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

High Tech CV took a three-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Mar Vista, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Bruins came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mariners on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. Caleb Gutierrez had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble High Tech CV got from the refs.

Nickolas Kennaly and Gutierrez scored all three of High Tech CV's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for San Diego Jewish Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. While the 0-0 score might suggest a draw, it was the Lions who were credited with the win on Tuesday.

The victory got High Tech CV back to even at 4-4. As for San Diego Jewish Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.
