Basketball Game Preview: Westinghouse Warriors vs. Providence-St. Mel Knights

The Westinghouse Warriors will face off against the Providence-St. Mel Knights at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Westinghouse is coming into the game on the come-up as their season has now been buoyed by two straight victories. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 45-41 W against Northridge.

Meanwhile, Providence-St. Mel strolled past Collins with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 56-41. The matchup marked the Knights' most dominant win of the season.

Providence-St. Mel's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Westinghouse, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.

Westinghouse beat Providence-St. Mel 67-57 when the teams last played back in January of 2017. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
