Baseball Recap: Christian Fellowship Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Christian Fellowship had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victor by a 20-5 margin over the Central Missouri HomeSchool Saints. Christian Fellowship has seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Central Missouri HomeSchool, too.

Carson Crockett made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out ten over four innings pitched. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Noah Prill, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Carson File, who went 4-for-6 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Christian Fellowship kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive games dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Christian Fellowship will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on New Franklin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Central Missouri HomeSchool will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Crosspoint Christian at 2:00 p.m. on March 29th.
