Softball Recap: South Sioux City Victorious

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Sioux City). They blew past the Omaha North Vikings 14-6 on Wednesday. The Cardinals not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since August 24, 2024 (when they won 18-3).

Aubrey Tranmer was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Keyana Weaver was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

South Sioux City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Omaha North only posted a batting average of .062.

South Sioux City's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Omaha North, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

South Sioux City didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Guardian Angels Central Catholic on the 30th. As for Omaha North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-2 defeat against Omaha South on the 28th.
