Basketball Recap: Bolles Comes Up Short

Bolles was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Nease Panthers. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 56-35 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

When it comes to explaining why Bolles lost, don't look at Kaden Ferguson. Despite the final result, he went 5 for 10 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Finley Bredehoeft, who posted eight points.

Nease's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jack Kuhl, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 15 points and six rebounds. Those 15 points gave Kuhl a new career-high. Reid Foster was another key player, putting up ten points along with five boards and three steals.

Bolles now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Nease, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-7.

Bolles wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-58 loss against Windsor Forest on the 20th. As for Nease, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 43-33 defeat against St. Augustine on the 17th.
