Baseball Recap: Hendersonville Comes Up Short

Hendersonville lost against East Rutherford back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bearcats lost 11-1 to the Cavaliers. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hendersonville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aidan Burlett, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Hendersonville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for East Rutherford, they pushed their record up to 18-0 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Hendersonville will venture away from home to take on R-S Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hilltoppers' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so the Bearcats' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for East Rutherford, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-0 win against East Lincoln on the 23rd.
