Basketball Recap: Henderson Collegiate Pride vs. Vance Charter Knights
Henderson Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Vance Charter Knights, falling 57-26. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pride this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 55-16 last Wednesday.
Vance Charter found their leader in freshman Adanna Aniekwensi, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Aniekwensi has scored all season. Leah Rice was another key player, putting up six points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Henderson Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Vance Charter, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6.
Henderson Collegiate has already played their next contest (against Cristo Rey Research Triangle), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Vance Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 46-40 win against Franklin Academy on the 5th.
