Basketball Recap: St. Mark's Comes Up Short

St. Mark was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 47-29 bruising from Padua Academy. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while Padua Academy are ranked fifth).

St. Mark's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Padua Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

St. Mark's will be playing in front of their home fans against Delcastle Technical at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Padua Academy, they will venture away from home to face off against DuPont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
