Basketball Game Preview: Williamstown Yellowjackets vs. Warren Warriors

Williamstown is 0-4 against Warren since January of 2019 but things could change on Saturday. The Yellowjackets will challenge the Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Williamstown will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

On Thursday, Williamstown was able to grind out a solid victory over Ritchie County, taking the game 55-43.

Meanwhile, Warren was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 38-33 to Fort Frye. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Cadets: they've now lost six in a row.

Williamstown will have to keep a close watch on Rylee Arnold and Danica Gates, a pair of players who had a big impact on Warren's prior game. Arnold went 5-for-10 to rack up 11 points, while Gates dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.

Williamstown's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Warren, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Williamstown came up short against Warren in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 47-42. Thankfully for the Yellowjackets, Mackenzie James-McGuire (who shot 63% from the field on her way to 30 points in addition to six boards and three steals) won't be suiting up this time.
