Softball Game Preview: Alvord Bulldogs vs. Nocona Indians

The Alvord Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Nocona Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Alvord nor Nocona posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Alvord might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to Lindsay, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Nocona came up short against Muenster on Tuesday, falling 16-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Hornets: they've now lost seven in a row.

Nocona's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Alvord, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.

Alvord might still be hurting after the 12-6 loss they got from Nocona in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
