Football Recap: University Bulldogs vs. Wellington Eagles
University played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Wellington Eagles, falling 47-6. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-0.
Max Davis threw for 91 yards and one touchdown. Dominic Chacon was his top target, picking up 40 receiving yards. On the ground, Michael Kelly rushed for 35 yards.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wellington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brayton Meglen, who rushed for 96 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries, and also picked up 37 receiving yards and one score. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 4-1 Eaton (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 90% over those games). As for Wellington, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
