Baseball Game Preview: Ambassador Christian School Lions vs. Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy Patriots

The Ambassador Christian School Lions will head out on the road to take on the Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy Patriots at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

It was a proper cat-fight when Ambassador Christian School took on Calvary Day School on Tuesday. The Lions fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 3-2.

Ambassador Christian School saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rodney (RJ) Hancock, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that Hancock hit this season.

Meanwhile, Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy came up short against Hickory Christian Academy on Monday and fell 7-3. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ambassador Christian School has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season. As for Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Ambassador Christian School skirted past Liberty Preparatory Christian Academy 6-5 in their previous matchup back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
