Our Lady of the Lakes extended their losing streak to six on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 1-10 in the process. They came up short against the Bishop Foley Ventures, falling 12-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ventures this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-7 on Tuesday.

Abe Iakovides was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
As for Bishop Foley, they pushed their record up to 5-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games.
On Bishop Foley's side, Mason Kanar made a splash no matter where he played. He struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Kanar is becoming a predictor of Bishop Foley's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is undefeated (and 2-4 when he doesn't). Kanar was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Bishop Foley got a massive performance out of Cooper Dolot, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. Dolot also got two hits, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Tyler Vogel, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Our Lady of the Lakes will face off against Non Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bishop Foley, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Everest Collegiate at 5:30 p.m.
